Full-time · Remote | Stavanger

Helping cities regulate micromobility

We are a Norwegian govtech startup helping cities regulate and understand micromobility (e.g. shared bikes and electric cars) - and later other forms of transport. With our tools, cities receive data from the fleets of shared vehicles and put this data to work to control the public space. Mobility is a domain in great development, and data is key.

We are strengthening our team on data science and analytics, and hope you can be the right person. You will get a good salary, flexible working conditions and the opportunity for co-ownership in an exciting and internationally growing Norwegian company. We are funded by ambitious venture capital funds.

We let humans understand and act upon data

We believe that you are great person, an excellent at crushing number, but not necessarily a super human that can tick of all theses boxes:

  • Good competence in Python and relevant libraries for data analysis (pandas, numpy, matplotlib)
  • Experience with SQL. We are currently working on a Bigquery setup.
  • Experience in building user-friendly dashboards/reports
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Sound business understanding and experience in communicating/presenting results
  • Higher education in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, machine learning or similar

Your next challenge

The Nivel team is currently small and fast moving and you will be able to contribute in setting a direction on where we are heading.

You are confident in carrying out the following tasks:

  • Create powerful insights from shared mobility data, helping to build the cities of the future
  • Make sure our tools are stable and trustworthy. We are controlling the public ground, you know.
  • Lay the foundation for good data analytics and machine learning.
  • Working closely with our existing development team to ensure system consistency and to create a great user experience.
  • Challenge and optimise our stack together with our development team. We may very well replace what we have implemented based on your suggestions.
  • Following and contributing to the development of standards like MDS, GBFS and CDS-M.

Apply!

We want to hire the right person on a permanent basis. You may turn out to be our next CTO. You may very well be located outside of Norway - building our first international hub, but we also believe in building a strong team on the same premises.

We offer competitive salary, flexible working hours and locations, employee shareholder options, tasty lunches, hardware of your choice and a good proportion of nerdy enthusiasm for regulation technology for the sake of better cities.
